Certified Logistics Associate (CLA)
Logistics Associates plays a crucial role in the efficient movement and storage of goods within supply chains, often working in warehouses and distribution centers to handle goods safely and ensure smooth product flow. CLA provides entry-level knowledge of supply chains, including the storage of goods, the process of moving products from point A to point B, and an understanding of the logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting audits, and ensuring proper storage to prevent damage or loss
- Shipment Coordination: Coordinating shipments and deliveries by working with suppliers, transport companies, and internal departments to schedule and track movements
- Documentation: Completing necessary documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Warehouse Optimization: Organizing warehouse layouts to maximize space and efficiency, implementing safety protocols, and utilizing technology like Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Customer Service: Assisting customers and resolving shipment issues and complaints

This entry-level course equips frontline employees with essential knowledge in supply chain logistics, enhancing their workplace efficiency and effectiveness. Completion is required to advance to the mid-level Certified Logistics Technician program (recommended but not mandatory).
