Certified Logistics Associate (CLA)

Logistics Associates plays a crucial role in the efficient movement and storage of goods within supply chains, often working in warehouses and distribution centers to handle goods safely and ensure smooth product flow. CLA provides entry-level knowledge of supply chains, including the storage of goods, the process of moving products from point A to point B, and an understanding of the logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting audits, and ensuring proper storage to prevent damage or loss
  • Shipment Coordination: Coordinating shipments and deliveries by working with suppliers, transport companies, and internal departments to schedule and track movements
  • Documentation: Completing necessary documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Warehouse Optimization: Organizing warehouse layouts to maximize space and efficiency, implementing safety protocols, and utilizing technology like Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Customer Service: Assisting customers and resolving shipment issues and complaints

Certified Logistics Technician (CLT)

CLT provides mid-level knowledge of the process flow of stored goods, dispatching, tracking operations, transport modes, order processing, loading, and shipment. A Logistics Technician manages and optimizes the flow of goods and materials within a company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Tracking and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring timely restocking, and managing storage solutions
  • Shipment Coordination: Overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Maintaining logistics records, preparing reports, and using logistics IT systems to optimize procedures
  • Vendor and Client Liaison: Communicating with suppliers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensuring all logistics activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards
