Central Tech participated in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference in Chicago, IL, from May 10-14, 2024.
Central Tech’s students demonstrated exceptional skills by winning three first-place and two second-place medals. Layla Hicks, a postsecondary student from Mannford, secured the top position in Contemporary Issues (Postsecondary) and Presentation Individual (Postsecondary). Katy Knapp, a secondary student from Cleveland, attained second place in Administrative Support Research Project (Secondary). Dezirae White, a postsecondary student from Cushing, clinched first place in Parliamentary Procedure Concepts – Open (Postsecondary) and second place in Advanced Office Systems and Procedures (Postsecondary).
We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students at Central Tech. Individual students were recognized for their remarkable contributions. Among the Drumright students, Katy Knapp, Dezirae White, Aliviah Jolly, Maggie Battles, Noah Gosney, Priscilla Rogers, Aspen Nelson, and Layla Hicks were honored with the National “Ambassador” Torch awards. Dezirae White (Postsecondary) received the National Recruiter of the Year award, and Maggie Battles was awarded the NTHS Scholarship worth $1,000. Several students were selected as National Voting Delegates (Secondary and Postsecondary), including Maggie Battles (National Officer Campaign Manager), Aspen Nelson (Secondary Head Delegate), Charlotte Sipes, Aliviah Jolly, Mollie Battles, Noah Gosney, Katy Knapp, Priscilla Rogers, Juliana Schuler, Layla Hicks, Dezirae White, and Trent Fine. The chapter was awarded for their exceptional achievements in various categories such as Chapter Activities Award of Excellence, Community Service, Environmental Action Awareness, Marketing & Public Relations, Quality Chapter, Safety Awareness, and Special Olympics. The event was a great success for Central Tech students!
