Austin shared his invaluable pipe welding tips and tricks with both our AM and PM classes. Our students were thrilled to learn from such a knowledgeable and inspiring mentor.

Another successful blood drive in the books. Thank you to all the students and staff that donated last week on the Drumright campus. And a big thanks to the Advanced Health Careers class for coordinating the drive!

High school students from the area experienced a Reality Check at Central Tech! They received jobs and paychecks, then visited various stations to a lot their funds based on family (marital status and dependents), housing, utilities, and more in order to create a budget. Judging by the photos, alone, everyone had a great time.
Congratulations to the Digital Media and Business & Information Technology students that placed in the top three at the BPA State Leadership Conference yesterday!

Plumbing students rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty by digging up the sewer line on the Criminal Justice house and installed a sewer clean out.

Evening HVAC students got the opportunity to diagnose why a residence was not keeping warm. The culprit? A failed heating component. Students performed all of the work by diagnosing the failed components, taking out the failed heating parts, putting in the new parts, and washing filters. What a great learning experience just before the winter storm hit our area.

Due to inclement weather, daytime classes are closed, Friday, February 21. Evening classes will continue as scheduled.
Students and staff had fun celebrating our first Spirit Week last week. We had Jersey Day, Cruise Day, Alumni Day, CT Mix-Up Day (dress like another class), and Concert T-Shirt Day.
Practical Nursing students got the opportunity to attend the Health Science Education day at the capitol. They visited with legislators, including Representative Mark Lawson, and show support for careers in health.
